Every house in the world should have a fireplace. It offers a defining touch to the house and acts as a source of comfort, too. In the upper part of the northern hemisphere, one cannot find houses without fireplaces. The warmth that you get from the fireplace after a really cold day outside cannot be described with words.

There is nothing that can make you feel as uncomfortable at home as sitting in a cold draft. Most drafts are caused by badly fitted windows or old window frames, and as such, replacing the windows can reduce drafts as well as improving insulation and security.

Many people already have electric storage heaters within their home to keep them toasty and warm throughout the extremely cold weather in the UK. These storage heaters will use the majority of their energy in the night time hours in order to be able to release constant heat throughout the day.
